Therapy With Zoe

I bring a wide variety of trauma-informed treatment modalities to my work with clients. I do this as I believe there is no one-size-fits-all formula to therapy and that treatment with each client should be tailored to what works best for them. Foremost among these approaches is Narrative Therapy. I am also versed in Internal Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and Solution-Focused Treatment. I have received formal training in EMDR, which I am capable of incorporating into my work with clients.

I take a non-judgmental, anti-oppressive perspective to my work with clients. I believe that our struggles are not merely biological and psychological, but are also widely informed by our social experiences with living in a world that is so often stacked against us. I believe that healing the causes of our issues often requires explicitly addressing the impact of structural inequality on our mental health.

I prioritize working with individuals who identify as queer, transgender, non-binary, polyamorous, autistic, neurodivergent, disabled, chronically ill, and/or racially marginalized. I recognize that these communities have often been mistreated in mental health settings and am committed to providing an affirming therapeutic experience. I come to this lens not just with professional expertise but also with lived experience navigating many of the issues I work to help others heal from.

SCHEDULING

I see clients virtually Tuesday through Friday, by appointment only. My appointments are 50-minutes, which is the standard ‘therapy hour’. I believe that therapy works best when it is routine and prefer to meet with clients on a weekly basis, but am open to other arrangements if necessary. I am licensed to work with clients who are located anywhere within Pennsylvania or New Jersey. I do not currently see clients in person.
